How to read it

The most common mistake in reading a hexagram about love is treating it as an answer to "does this person love me". It is not. What it describes is the structure of the relationship right now, your own position inside it, and what you will run into if you push forward.

The same hexagram reads completely differently for someone single and someone in a relationship. Single, the question is whether to begin. Attached, the question is how to hold what already exists. Decide which one you are asking before you read.

One more rule: do not ask three things at once. Pick one — continue, speak up, or let go — and read the judgment against that.
